Caoxian County in east China, a major national hub for Hanfu production and sales, has become a representative example of how new business models are transforming industrial development. Relying on the rapid growth of e-commerce, the county has built a complete Hanfu industrial chain, covering design, production, copyright protection, tailoring, performance and display, and online marketing, also helping expand its reach into overseas markets. Today, Caoxian is home to more than 2,700 Hanfu-related enterprises, engaging nearly 100,000 practitioners. Caoxian County is not an isolated case. New consumption formats – such as instant retail, livestreaming e-commerce and online trading – are driving continuous upgrades in consumption patterns, injecting fresh momentum into the economy and offering a wider range of job opportunities.
